Our six bedroom Farmhouse sleeps up to 12 in six rooms and features a fully functioning kitchen and dining area so you can prepare your own meals, or we'll have the necessary nourishment delivered to the cottage ready to eat or ready to cook, should you wish.  The cosy living area will come stacked with movies for the whole family, but we think you may rather explore the 200 acres of parkland on your doorstep.

Located in Gilling West, Flower Shop Cottage sits next to the village florist on the main street of this picturesque Yorkshire village. Just a ten-minute car journey from the estate, the cottage features an open-plan living area with a log-burning stove, a spacious kitchen and doors that open onto a private patio area. Upstairs, you'll find three bedrooms and a bathroom. The interiors have a strong botanical feel throughout. Guests have ample parking at the front of the property, and there’s a secure garage for bikes. Please contact our reservations team directly to book. This is a sister property of the estate.

The Flower Shop Cottage self catering stay 

On selected dates only, we’re excited to share our Forge and Main House evening stay experience.

You’ll check in to the Main House, our 16-bedroom Georgian house at the heart of the estate, where you’ll settle into a characterful bedroom that feels both homely and welcoming before heading to Forge, our Michelin Star and Michelin Green Star restaurant here on the estate.

It is here that Head Chef Jake Jones creates a ten-course tasting experience inspired by the estate, a narration of the landscape through the seasons. Each course tells a detailed story of our Yorkshire parkland, resulting in an immersive dining experience and a special night away in the country.

After dinner, return to the calm of the Main House for the night. The following morning, wake to views across the estate before making your way to the Coach House for a delicious, estate-inspired breakfast.

Forge & Main House Evening Experience 

Hope House is your home away from home in the village just 5 minutes drive from Middleton Lodge, perfect for a family get away and pretty as a picture.
With 5 individually designed bedrooms, including a huge ensuite on the top floor, 3 doubles and a queen sized bedroom (which sleeps one or two at a very cosy push) and a little garden. Parking is a little restricted, we can fit up to 4 cars in the drive, but it’s two minutes walk from the village shop, 5 minutes walk from the village pub, or give us a shout and our estate team can ferry you back and forth from the estate.

CHRISTMAS EVE

Arrive on Christmas Eve, settle in and enjoy a festive 
Champagne afternoon tea. 
To wind down, you can book a session at The 
Forest Spa – take a dip in the heated outdoor pool, 
soak in the hot tub or unwind in the calm of the 
relaxation areas.
Dinner is served at The Coach House restaurant. 
Choose from our Winter Garden menu with options 
from land, garden or sea. And, of course, there are 
Christmas cocktails to enjoy. After dinner, head back
to your room and rest up for the day ahead.

CHRISTMAS DAY

Wake up to Christmas morning on the estate. 
Take a walk in the gardens, then enjoy a Champagne 
breakfast at The Coach House. You can book time at 
the Forest Spa for a morning swim, or relax in the pool house.
Later, sit down to a Christmas dinner created by Michelin
Young Chef of the Year Jake Jones. Think three courses
with all the trimmings plus Yorkshire puddings. Finish with
figgy pudding and brandy sauce. The rest of the day is 
yours to enjoy.
That evening, a selection of light bites will be available. 

BOXING DAY

On Boxing Day, enjoy breakfast at The Coach House 
before checking out.
